Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vertical Abstract by Allan Houser was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2008. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 3,954.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Allan Houser have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Forever in December 2016 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 33,169.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vertical Abstract von Allan Houser kam im März 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 3.954,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Allan Houser auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Forever im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 33.169,07).
