Auction result well in line with expectations
The work seated woman with baby by Allan Houser was sold in the Modern Native American Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 1,785.00 (€ 1,616.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allan Houser achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forever in December 2016 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 33,169.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit seated woman with baby von Allan Houser wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern Native American Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.785,00 (€ 1.616,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allan Houser erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Forever im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 33.169,07).
