Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern & Historic Native American Art, which included the work "Apache Round Dance Chorus" by Allan Houser. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,336.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Allan Houser have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Forever in December 2016 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 33,169.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern & Historic Native American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Apache Round Dance Chorus" von Allan Houser zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.336,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Allan Houser auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Forever im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 33.169,07).
