Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern & Historic Native American Art, which included the work "Waiting For Dark" by Allan Houser. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,287.50 (€ 6,776.37), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Allan Houser have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Forever in December 2016 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 33,169.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern & Historic Native American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Waiting For Dark" von Allan Houser zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 6.776,37) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Allan Houser auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Forever im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 33.169,07).
