It achieved a price of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,219.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Allan Douglas Davidson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,731.36).
