Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2011 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Being Forever by Alisa Margolis. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,066.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alisa Margolis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work „Untitled (symmetrical painting II)“, which sold at auction in December 2019 for EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Being Forever von Alisa Margolis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.066,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alisa Margolis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit „Untitled (symmetrical painting II)“ beobachtet, die im Dezember 2019 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
