The result of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,581.78) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Alisa Margolis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work „Untitled (symmetrical painting II)“ in December 2019 with an auction result of EUR 12,500.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alisa Margolis kam im März 2008 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.581,78) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alisa Margolis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit „Untitled (symmetrical painting II)“ im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.500,00.
