Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Passion de la jungle by Alicia Penalba was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2018. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,383.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alicia Penalba achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ventisquero in March this year with an auction result of USD 107,100.00 (€ 98,509.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Passion de la jungle von Alicia Penalba kam im November 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.383,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alicia Penalba erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ventisquero im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 98.509,93).
