The work Le Double (Esquisse du doble) by Alicia Penalba was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2018. It achieved a price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,871.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Alicia Penalba have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ventisquero in March this year with an auction result of USD 107,100.00 (€ 98,509.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Le Double (Esquisse du doble) von Alicia Penalba wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.871,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alicia Penalba auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ventisquero im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 98.509,93).
