Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alicia Penalba achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Monte-Carlo in July 2019. In the Monaco Sculptures auction, the work Esquisse N°9 Ou Poindre - 1981-82 sold for EUR 36,400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alicia Penalba - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ventisquero, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 107,100.00 (€ 98,509.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alicia Penalba erzielte im Juli 2019 bei Artcurial in Monte-Carlo einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Monaco Sculptures wurde die Arbeit Esquisse N°9 Ou Poindre - 1981-82 für EUR 36.400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alicia Penalba mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ventisquero beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 107.100,00 (€ 98.509,93) versteigert wurde.
