This price was achieved in the auction The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Alice Rahon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Los Cuatro Hijos Del Arco Iris in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 512,000.00 (€ 455,881.04).
