Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work Cattle watering by Alfred William Hunt. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,536.00 (€ 1,536.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred William Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'When the leaves begin to turn' in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 52,580.00 (€ 78,254.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle watering von Alfred William Hunt zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.536,00 (€ 1.536,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred William Hunt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'When the leaves begin to turn' im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.580,00 (€ 78.254,79).
