Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lucerne by Alfred William Hunt was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints auction at Christies in London in July 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,329.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred William Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'When the leaves begin to turn' in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 52,580.00 (€ 78,254.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lucerne von Alfred William Hunt wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints bei Christies in London versteigert.
