Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Long shadows across a narrow glade by Alfred William Hunt was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2018. It achieved a price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,051.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Admittedly, works by Alfred William Hunt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'When the leaves begin to turn' in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 52,580.00 (€ 78,254.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Long shadows across a narrow glade von Alfred William Hunt kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.051,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred William Hunt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'When the leaves begin to turn' im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.580,00 (€ 78.254,79).
