Admittedly, works by Alfred Wallis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St Ives Bay With Godrevy in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 180,975.11).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 35.242,27) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Wallis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit St Ives Bay With Godrevy im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 180.975,11).
