Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Washington Square Rally by Alfred S. Mira. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,069.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred S. Mira have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Washington Square in March 2004 with an auction result of USD 65,725.00 (€ 53,469.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Washington Square Rally von Alfred S. Mira zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.069,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred S. Mira auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Washington Square im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 65.725,00 (€ 53.469,74).
