In May 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Construction by Alfred S. Mira. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,925.00 (€ 7,319.17), 28% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred S. Mira have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Washington Square in March 2004 with an auction result of USD 65,725.00 (€ 53,469.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Construction von Alfred S. Mira zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 7.319,17) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred S. Mira auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Washington Square im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 65.725,00 (€ 53.469,74).
