This artwork by Alfred S. Mira achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2004. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Chinatown sold for USD 14,340.00 (€ 11,666.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred S. Mira have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Washington Square in March 2004 with an auction result of USD 65,725.00 (€ 53,469.74).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred S. Mira erzielte im März 2004 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit Chinatown für USD 14.340,00 (€ 11.666,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred S. Mira auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Washington Square im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 65.725,00 (€ 53.469,74).
