Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alfred R. Mitchell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December last year. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work La Jolla Beach 8 x 10 in. framed 14 1/2 x 16 1/2 in. sold for USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,171.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred R. Mitchell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset glow in August 2018 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,897.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred R. Mitchell erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wurde die Arbeit La Jolla Beach 8 x 10 in. framed 14 1/2 x 16 1/2 in. für USD 4.462,50 (€ 4.171,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred R. Mitchell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset glow im August 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.897,90).
