Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction California Art, which included the work Storm on Ramona - Julian Road by Alfred R. Mitchell. It changed hands for a price of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,233.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred R. Mitchell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset glow in August 2018 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,897.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Storm on Ramona - Julian Road von Alfred R. Mitchell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.233,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred R. Mitchell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset glow im August 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.897,90).
