Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alfred R. Mitchell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. In the California Art auction, the work From the Heights (San Diego) sold for USD 12,112.50 (€ 11,495.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred R. Mitchell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunset glow in August 2018 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,897.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred R. Mitchell erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit From the Heights (San Diego) für USD 12.112,50 (€ 11.495,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred R. Mitchell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunset glow im August 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.897,90).
