Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Hunting Elk By Moonlight by Alfred Jacob Miller. The price achieved of USD 200,000.00 (€ 168,095.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Jacob Miller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pawnee Running a Buffalo in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,405,478.22).
