Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Reverie by Alfred Jacob Miller was sold in the 19th Century American Art auction at Christies in New York in January last year. The auction ended at the price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,675.70), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Jacob Miller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pawnee Running a Buffalo in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,405,478.22).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Reverie von Alfred Jacob Miller wurde im Januar letzten Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.675,70) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Jacob Miller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pawnee Running a Buffalo im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.405.478,22).
