Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Indian Caressing his Horse by Alfred Jacob Miller was sold in the Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection auction at Christies in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 100,800.00 (€ 93,933.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Jacob Miller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pawnee Running a Buffalo in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,405,478.22).

Die Arbeit Indian Caressing his Horse von Alfred Jacob Miller wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 93.933,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
