Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in New York held the auction Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection, which included the work Sioux Indian at a Grave by Alfred Jacob Miller. The price achieved of USD 44,100.00 (€ 41,095.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Jacob Miller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pawnee Running a Buffalo in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,405,478.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sioux Indian at a Grave von Alfred Jacob Miller zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 41.095,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Jacob Miller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pawnee Running a Buffalo im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.405.478,22).
