Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alfred de Bréanski Jnr. achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2016. In the Brian Sewell - Critic & Collector auction, the work The Seine at St Cloud sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,632.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred de Bréanski Jnr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Evening, The Slopes of Ben Nevis; And Ben Tigh, which sold at auction in March 2006 for GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,334.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred de Bréanski Jnr. erzielte im September 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Brian Sewell - Critic & Collector wurde die Arbeit The Seine at St Cloud für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.632,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred de Bréanski Jnr. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Evening, The Slopes of Ben Nevis; And Ben Tigh beobachtet, die im März 2006 für GBP 11.400,00 (€ 16.334,15) versteigert wurde.
