In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work 'Evening near Betws-y-Coed, Noth Wales' by Alfred de Bréanski Jnr.. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,048.00 (€ 2,389.40), 37% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred de Bréanski Jnr. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evening, The Slopes of Ben Nevis; And Ben Tigh in March 2006 with an auction result of GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,334.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Evening near Betws-y-Coed, Noth Wales' von Alfred de Bréanski Jnr. zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.048,00 (€ 2.389,40) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred de Bréanski Jnr. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Evening, The Slopes of Ben Nevis; And Ben Tigh im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.400,00 (€ 16.334,15).
