Auction result well in line with expectations

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A basket of apples, pears, oranges, lemons, a bowl of grapes and an earthenware pot on a stone ledge; and Whitecurrants and redcurrants in a basket, a bowl of cherries, asparagus and a brass cooking pot on a draped ledge, which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,874.97).
