The work The milk thieves; Up to mischief; and A curiosity by Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in May 2014. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,145.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2010 the work A basket of apples, pears, oranges, lemons, a bowl of grapes and an earthenware pot on a stone ledge; and Whitecurrants and redcurrants in a basket, a bowl of cherries, asparagus and a brass cooking pot on a draped ledge was auctioned for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,874.97).
