The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,274.64) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A basket of apples, pears, oranges, lemons, a bowl of grapes and an earthenware pot on a stone ledge; and Whitecurrants and redcurrants in a basket, a bowl of cherries, asparagus and a brass cooking pot on a draped ledge in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,874.97).
