Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flamencos De Celestún De Yucatán by Alfonso X. Peña was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2016. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 33,087.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfonso X. Peña have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 245,000.00 (€ 196,977.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flamencos De Celestún De Yucatán von Alfonso X. Peña kam im November 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 33.087,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfonso X. Peña auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 245.000,00 (€ 196.977,01).
