Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Women With Flowers) by Alfonso X. Peña was sold in the Latin America: Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,250.00 (€ 53,256.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfonso X. Peña - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 245,000.00 (€ 196,977.01).
