Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Young Boy, Head And Shoulders, With A White Collar by Alexis Grimou for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,391.49). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Alexis Grimou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a white dress with blue bows, and a violet mantle, playing a hurdy gurdy, in a wooded landscape in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 25,062.00 (€ 27,516.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Boy, Head And Shoulders, With A White Collar von Alexis Grimou für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.391,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexis Grimou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a white dress with blue bows, and a violet mantle, playing a hurdy gurdy, in a wooded landscape im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.062,00 (€ 27.516,41).
