This artwork by Alexis Akrithakis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November 2020. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Shrine sold for GBP 31,500.00 (€ 35,164.63) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexis Akrithakis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 88,294.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexis Akrithakis erzielte im November 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Shrine für GBP 31.500,00 (€ 35.164,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexis Akrithakis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 60.000,00 (€ 88.294,06) versteigert wurde.
