Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art | New York, which included the work Landscape with Falls by Alexandre Altmann. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,510.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre Altmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian The Florist Shop in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 127,000.00 (€ 81,577.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape with Falls von Alexandre Altmann zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.510,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Altmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russian The Florist Shop im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 127.000,00 (€ 81.577,60).
