The work Ship Island, Georgian Bay by Alexander Young Jackson was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011. The result of CAD 18,000.00 (€ 12,924.04) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Young Jackson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St. Tite-Des-Caps in June 2010 with an auction result of CAD 324,500.00 (€ 248,912.70).

Die Arbeit Ship Island, Georgian Bay von Alexander Young Jackson wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von CAD 18.000,00 (€ 12.924,04) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Young Jackson erzielen.
