The work Moonlit mausoleums by Alexander Volkov was sold in the Important Russian Art auction at Christies in London in November 2012. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 433,250.00 (€ 533,720.04), 44% above the upper estimate. With this result, Moonlit mausoleums is even the most expensive work of art by Alexander Volkov that we have observed at auctions so far.
