Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oriental Fantasy by Alexander Volkov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,841.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Volkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moonlit mausoleums in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 533,720.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Oriental Fantasy von Alexander Volkov wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.841,55) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Volkov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moonlit mausoleums im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 533.720,04).
