Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Caravan by Alexander Volkov was sold in the Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 42,136.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Volkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moonlit mausoleums in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 533,720.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Caravan von Alexander Volkov wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Russian Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 42.136,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Volkov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moonlit mausoleums im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 533.720,04).
