Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pheasant and Game Bag After the Hunt by Alexander Pope was sold in the Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection auction at Christies in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 11,970.00 (€ 11,154.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Pope achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trophies Of The Hunt in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 370,000.00 (€ 332,285.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pheasant and Game Bag After the Hunt von Alexander Pope wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert.
