This artwork by Alexander Phimister Proctor achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2018. In the American Art Online auction, the work Panther sold for USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,638.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Phimister Proctor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Indian Warrior', which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 158,500.00 (€ 117,817.59).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Phimister Proctor erzielte im November 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art Online wurde die Arbeit Panther für USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.638,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Phimister Proctor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Indian Warrior' beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 158.500,00 (€ 117.817,59) versteigert wurde.
