Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work 'Princeton Tiger' by Alexander Phimister Proctor. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,400.00 (€ 16,805.34). Admittedly, works by Alexander Phimister Proctor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Indian Warrior' in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 117,817.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Princeton Tiger' von Alexander Phimister Proctor zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.400,00 (€ 16.805,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Phimister Proctor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Indian Warrior' im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 117.817,59).
