In January this year Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century American Art, which included the work Stalking Panther by Alexander Phimister Proctor. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,400.00 (€ 46,417.39), 44% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Phimister Proctor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Indian Warrior', which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 158,500.00 (€ 117,817.59).

Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stalking Panther von Alexander Phimister Proctor zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 46.417,39) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Phimister Proctor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Indian Warrior' beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 158.500,00 (€ 117.817,59) versteigert wurde.
