This artwork by Alexander Phimister Proctor achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2018. In the American Art Online auction, the work Fawn (First Model) sold for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,497.86) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Phimister Proctor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Indian Warrior' in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 117,817.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Phimister Proctor erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art Online wurde die Arbeit Fawn (First Model) für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.497,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Phimister Proctor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Indian Warrior' im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 117.817,59).
