Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alexander Mann could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures auction, the work Afterglow changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 790.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Mann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gleaners in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 113,416.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Mann konnte im September 2008 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Afterglow für GBP 625,00 (€ 790,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Mann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gleaners im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.700,00 (€ 113.416,76).
