A top price for Alexander Mann - as previously expected
In October 2002 Christies in London held the auction THE SCOTTISH SALE, which included the work The Gleaners by Alexander Mann. The price achieved of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 113,416.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Gleaners is the most expensive artwork by Alexander Mann that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE SCOTTISH SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Gleaners von Alexander Mann zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 71.700,00 (€ 113.416,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Gleaners das teuerste Kunstwerk von Alexander Mann, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
