Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reflections by Alexander M. Rossi was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,553.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexander M. Rossi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work By The Seaside in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 57,159.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reflections von Alexander M. Rossi wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.553,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander M. Rossi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit By The Seaside im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 57.159,89).
