Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2016 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work An Exciting Discovery by Alexander M. Rossi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,051.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander M. Rossi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By The Seaside in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 57,159.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Exciting Discovery von Alexander M. Rossi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.051,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander M. Rossi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By The Seaside im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 57.159,89).
