Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,795.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Goudie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 21,600.00 (€ 32,120.57).
