Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2021 Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Still Life at the Opera by Alexander Goudie. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,708.73). Admittedly, works by Alexander Goudie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 32,120.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life at the Opera von Alexander Goudie zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.708,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Goudie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight im August 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 32.120,57).
